Actually the top management of the organization is responsible to make emergency plans. So that they would keep all the staff members and workers safe and secure in any type of emergency situation. Keep in mind that as an employer, you have to follow all the safety and Health standards within the organization. Especially while making emergency plans of the organization. Keep in mind that everything must be in written form and it’s your responsibility that you tell everyone about the plan. As that will help you to keep everyone well aware of the emergency situations and they will know how they have to react to certain situation. Here in this article we are discussing how you can protect employees in any type of emergency situation.


Employers Have to Make Emergency Plans:

Actually, it is very important that the employer will make a team for implementing the emergency plan in an organization. And for this he must have an emergency response coordinator and backup coordinator. Actually coordinator will be responsible to manage the operations in emergency situations. Other than that he is responsible to share all the public information and tell people not to get panic. But backup coordinator will make sure that in an emergency situation all the trained people are available. But it is very important that employees know about the designated coordinator to whom they have to contact.


Working of Emergency Response Plans:

After making emergency plans management should discuss these plans with employees so that they would ask questions if they didn’t understand anything. After having discussion management should re-evaluate and update the plans. All the Emergency procedures, that includes handling of any poisonous chemicals, should consist of:

· All routes and procedures implemented to get escape from an emergency situation.

· it should consist of all details about how you can shut down the operations of the plant in any critical situation.

· It should contain all the evacuation plans and exit routes that employees have to take.

· it should contain information about rescue and medical duties that employees have to perform.


Opt to Install Complete Security Systems:

Employers are responsible to provide training to employees about how they have to react with any type of emergency situation. That will help you to reduce the overall injuries and casualties. Other than that, keep in mind that as an employer you are responsible to install safety and security equipment with the organization and make the escape routes. And don’t forget to install emergency lighting. Getting the emergency lighting certificate is another important work that the employer has to do. So that he would protect employees.


Making Emergency Response Teams:

Management should make emergency response teams so that workers should know whom they have to consult in case of emergency. Management should make one coordinator for emergency response. And there should be one back-up coordinator within the team. The coordinator should be responsible for shutting down activities of the plant. And they will also be responsible to tell people that they have called for an outside aid.
