An invitation to a pajama party is something everyone has received in their lifetime. However, some people are not well aware about the outfit preferences or a dress code that is usually followed at slumber parties. The dress code usually calls out to be ‘comfortable’ and most men tend to look for mens onsies to wear as nothing can get as comfortable as an onsie but the case with women is a bit different.
For women it is a casual party and they just have to dress right for it. However, one should not go overboard as in the end, it is just a slumber party not a competition regarding who dresses the best. Keep your comfort in mind and find the perfect outfit you would love to wear for a slumber party.
Clothing and outfit suggestions are aplenty so it depends upon on you how you take the advice and work on it so here are some tips that you can duly consider.
Dress Up Decently
A slumber party is where you would want to simply relax on a night at home with your friends so no one would want to stick around with uncomfortable clothing. This notion calls out for one to dress decently and modestly. Only decent attire can help you relax and enjoy your time out with friends. Do not go for something that is unique or extravagant instead try to stick to a more chic, stylish and comfortable theme or dressing code.
Keep your Hairdo Simple
You would not want to sleep in with your hair all tangled and we are sure no one would want the same. Another thing you should know is not to over-exaggerate anything as it is only a slumber party not a dinner so you would not need to go to a salon to get your hair done. What would fit here is a loose ponytail or a decent bun to keep your hair intact and neat the entire night.
Do not go Overboard with Makeup
There is no harm or any restriction on applying makeup but we are only stopping you from taking it to the extra mile. That is what you call someone when they are being too extra and it can be acceptable on a prom night or a formal dinner but surely not on a slumber party. If you do want to put on makeup then opt for neutral or nudes tones for your lipstick with subtle hints of blush and eye shadow to complete your look.
Wear Slippers not Heels
Wearing heels to a pajama party would just look too odd and illogical. You are there to relax and chill with your friends not to go out on a party. The perfect selection would be a pair of fur slippers or you can either choose to wear your at-home slippers if you are not getting enough ideas. However, wearing heels are definitely a no in all cases.
