5 Vital Safety Measures for School Students during Pandemic

After being infected with the corona-virus, schools are opening again after almost six months. As schools are opening, it does not mean that the threat of this deadly virus is any less than it was before. Back to school is a hard decision because we all will be on edge to keep our youngsters safe and sound. We need to follow strict precautions if we want to keep our children safe. In this entire scenario, the school staff, admin, teachers, and all other members of the school play a vital role. All the members of the school need to serve their duties vigilantly to stop the spread of this virus. After the school's opening, a lot will depend on teachers and school administration. So below are the five crucial safety measures that all the school students need to follow.

1. Minimize strength:

The first thing that schools need to implement is to minimize the total strength of students inside and outside the classroom and in vehicles. To equally divide the number of students each bus will contain, use the school bus management system. Staff members should make sure that the total strength is not increasing and everyone is sitting at a specific distance. Dedicate specific duties of staff members that will check whether this clause is following or not. Leave the adjacent seat in the class and outside the classroom. If we want to continue with the education of children, then you need to ensure that we are following every precaution.

2. Wear masks:

We all know that this virus spreads with the infectious droplets that may release when the person is breathing, talking, or coughing, so make sure every single student is wearing masks. The ultimate way to stop the spreading of this virus is by restricting the entry of any person who is not wearing a mask. You have to make sure that mask is covering the entire mouth of the student so that it can stop the droplets.

3. Wash hands:

Another way that can minimize the danger of the virus is by washing hands every 20 minutes. This virus can also spread if you touch a contaminated surface and then touch your face. Make a habit of washing your hands thoroughly every 20 minutes so that if you make contact with any contaminated surface, it cannot affect your health. Refrain from touching your mouth, eyes, or nose.

4. Sanitize the place:

With the proper cleaning and precautionary measure, also make sure that you are disinfecting the place where you have to sit. By cleaning the doorknobs, handles, desks, as well as chairs, you will minimize the chance of getting sick.

5. Stay home, if sick:

If you are not feeling well, then it will be a smart move if you stay home. School admin, as well as parents, need to check your child regularly, and if they are showing any sign of fever, flu, temperature, sore throat, nausea, then they should not go to school. Daily temperature checking and screening should be compulsory every 2 hours. Send home any child who is not feeling well immediately.
