The peak of happiness for every early learner is the activities they perform for the weekly theme. They get to know new things and then do hands-on projects. The theme of transportation has been the way for invoking curiosity among young children. Even a short trip is an adventure to them. That is why in every school they celebrate transportation week. It provides a huge source for inviting children's own experiences, as well as involving different careers and businesses among people.
Being a teacher thinking of an effective creative activity can be a difficult job. But not now as we have come up with 5 effortless and fun activities and easy-to-do crafts for the upcoming transportation week.
1. Transportation Word Cards:
This is a primary activity for preschoolers. In this, you will print a set of different transportation. You can add different vehicles like car, airplane, helicopter, cycle, motorbike, train, carry van, delivery truck, and many more. Then you will ask your students to identify each one of them. You can also carry this activity live by making students identify any vehicle that is present in your student transport management system. Also, use blanks to note down any transport that your student adds.
2. Airplane Craft:
Airplane craft is a very easy activity. You just need Clothespin and 2 Popsicle sticks and few accessories to make it.
Instructions:
First of all, paint the Popsicle sticks and clothespin.
Then after the paint got dies off paste one of the big Popsicle sticks to the clothespin end.
Secondly, glue the other big stick as wings on the other side of the clothespin end.
At last, glue the small Popsicle stick to the other end of your clothespin to make the tail of the airplane. And your work is done.
3. Bus Craft:
This craft is for making a small bus with the cardboard. All you need any cardboard box, some paintbrushes, glue, black, orange, and silver paper.
Instructions:
First of all, paint the cardboard box red using a paintbrush.
Then paste black card rectangles on the box as windows and in the front.
After that cut small black circles of black paper, and paste them as the wheels on either side of the bus.
Now, cut orange circles of orange paper, and paste them in the front as headlights.
Now for lockers and doors paste silver rectangles on the bus.
Draw doors using a black pen.
You can also cut out the letters “BUS” to paste on it.
4. Toilet Paper Car:
This is a recycling activity. You will use the roll of toilet paper and then glue bottle caps at either side of the car that will act as wheels. You can also paint the toilet roll to make it more colorful.
5. Puzzle Cards:
Puzzle cards are ideal for early learners. They will like it very much and will be eager to put the pieces together. Make them colorful that way they will also identify and learn colors.
